Overview
Prince Zhong's household was wiped out, leaving only the eldest young lady, Yu Zhao Ye, and her grandmother under house arrest by her uncle, Jia Chong. Obsessed with Yu Zhao Ye because she resembled her late mother, Jia Chong had burned down the mansion out of unrequited desire. Patiently plotting, Zhao Ye orchestrated her cousin Jia Shu Yan's public humiliation at a birthday banquet and deliberately sought out the ghost-faced general Xie Wei Lan in a dark alley to protect her honor. With Xie Wei Lan's help, Zhao Ye exposed the Jia family's scandals at the Spring Banquet and used the battlefield to sway the general's heart.
